Welcome
to A Taste of Emsworth
and now for something completely different,
coming to Emsworth in September.......
|
| Small, select & simply
delicious..... |
Planned for two days in the September, to
celebrate Emsworth's pre-eminent position as
the food capital of the south coast. A
Taste of Emsworth is neither a food festival
nor a food event, more of a couple of days
when residents and visitors alike can enjoy
Emsworth at its best. Enjoy an exceptionally
delicious meal in one of the village's seven
restaurants, a quiet drink and a bite to eat
in one of seven pubs, a cup of tea and a
snack in one of five cafés or purchase
something tasty from one of a dozen or so
especially chosen exhibitors in a
small food market
located in the village
or from the diverse range of shops. You may
of course just soak come and up the
atmosphere.

Emsworth is popular with sailors, artists,
naturalists and walkers. The two tidal
millponds to east and west are host to a
variety of wild life. Emsworth has a long
history connected with oyster fishing and
boat building and still boasts traditional
shipwrights and chandleries. Its attractive
streets are lined with a mixture of
architectural styles and high walled gardens
and a walk around the town gives a genuine
feel for the past, with exceptional harbour
views.
Two days in September when you can
sample the flavour of life in
Emsworth - you won't be
disappointed.
